The business of LiveArt Institute Inc. involves the creation of art (and, eventually, other art disciplines such as music) education opportunities, at very inexpensive prices (and on a sliding scale for those who cannot afford it) via new technological advances in live streaming video. The Institute will engage an ever-changing group of famous artists and juried artists in a series of virtual residency programs, through which they can share their knowledge and experience with many thousands of students around the world, and they can do this without the rigors of travel. The LiveArt Institute will help to fund our upcoming non-profit, LiveArt Inc., which will have an after school art and music program, which will allow students to connect with with students from around the world (and work on projects together), and a scholarship program for struggling artists. We expect that, through our website, the internet will provide a rich field of service for many artists who wish to share their wisdom with students of all ages around the world.

LiveArt Institute engages artists in 6 month virtual residencies where they offer art demonstrations and education via live streaming video. Artists will work from their studio and record their demonstrations using a video camera which is hooked up to a computer. The video will be streamed over the internet and viewers can sign up to watch these demonstrations on their home computers. Viewers can communicate with the artist using the live chat feature. Some of the artists will also offer private lessons in real time via the live streaming video. During private lessons, two way video streaming can be accomplished if both the artist and the viewer have engaged video cameras. Desktop sharing is also possible. In this manner, the ultimate in sharing can be experienced between the parties for the greatest degree of education.

LiveArt Demonstrations are $10 each per one and a half hour demonstration
LiveArt Private Lessons are $35 per hour

  4. If you wish to communicate with the teacher, click on the chat button and write your copy in the box at the bottom of the chat window.

Private Lessons

Private Lessons are best utilized if there is a two way application of the live streaming video. To accomplish this the viewer and the teacher each use a video camera and microphone hooked up to their computers to communicate with each other and share their desktops. If communication by microphone is unavalable, communication can be made via telephone. We suggest an internet connection with an absolute minimum of 500kbps upload speed. If you run into streaming issues, it may stem from your bandwidth. It would be wise to check your bandwidth speeds . You can do that at this website: http://www.bandwidthplace.com/
