This painting is in honor of my two mothers – my own mother who owned these beautiful bathing beauty ceramic figurines and my mother-in-law who owned these lovely and delicate perfume bottles. Also, there was this unusual vine that used to grow vigorously over the wall of the location where we held a regular group meditation. The perfume from the flowers on this vine was so powerful that one of the attendees insisted that the flower blossoms be covered with plastic bags while we meditated. So it seemed fitting to include this vine in the still life!
